Author Guidelines

American Digits: Journal of Computing and Digital Technologies publishes original, high-quality research in computing, artificial intelligence, software engineering, data science, cybersecurity, cloud computing, blockchain, digital systems, information technology, and related interdisciplinary fields.

Authors should ensure that submitted manuscripts are original, scientifically rigorous, and have not been published or submitted elsewhere.

Manuscript Preparation

  • Manuscripts must be written in clear, professional English.
  • A structured abstract and relevant keywords are required.
  • References should be prepared consistently using APA (7th Edition).
  • Figures, tables, and illustrations must be of publication quality.
  • Authors are responsible for obtaining permission for any copyrighted materials included in their manuscripts.

AI-Assisted Manuscripts

The journal permits the submission of AI-assisted manuscripts. Authors may use artificial intelligence tools for drafting, language improvement, editing, or content generation. Manuscripts prepared with the assistance of artificial intelligence, including those containing substantial AI-generated content, may be submitted for editorial consideration.

However, authors remain fully responsible for the originality, scientific accuracy, factual correctness, citations, ethical compliance, and intellectual contribution of their work.

Acceptance of an AI-assisted manuscript for submission does not guarantee publication. During editorial screening or peer review, reviewers, editors, or the Editor-in-Chief may require authors to revise, reduce, replace, or remove AI-generated content where necessary to meet the journal's academic, ethical, or quality standards. Final publication decisions are made solely by the Editor-in-Chief or the designated handling editor.

Originality and Similarity Policy

Submitted manuscripts should demonstrate at least 80% originality. As a general guideline, a similarity index of up to 20% may be considered acceptable after excluding references, quotations, and commonly used scientific expressions.

Any evidence of plagiarism, fabricated or manipulated citations, duplicate publication, or other forms of academic misconduct may result in rejection, withdrawal, or retraction of the manuscript. The Editor-in-Chief reserves the right to make the final determination.

Peer Review

All eligible manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment followed by a rigorous double-blind peer review conducted by qualified experts. Editorial decisions are based solely on scientific quality, originality, significance, ethical integrity, and relevance to the journal's scope.
